Langevin challenger Riley to formally launch bid on Monday
While the congressional race between David Cicilline and Brendan Doherty promises to become only more front-and-center in the weeks ahead, Congressman Jim Langevin also faces re-election. One of his three challengers plans to make a formal announcement on Monday:
Second Congressional District candidate Michael Riley will formally launch his campaign at a press conference on Monday, April 9 at 10 a.m. in the Rotunda in the State Capitol in Providence.
Riley, a Republican, has already aired some radio ads.
Langevin has held a lock on the job since he won a four-way Democratic primary in 2000, when one of his opponents was some guy named Angel.
