Zainyeh to Family Services of RI
George Zainyeh, a former state legislator and top aide to Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, has been selected as the new chief strategy officer for Family Service of Rhode Island.
Family Service is one of Rhode Island’s oldest and largest non-profit human service agencies. “We pride ourselves in recruiting and hiring the most qualified candidates and are confident that George’s skills and talents will greatly enhance our abilities to meet the demands of a rapidly changing health care and social service environment,’’ said Margaret Holland McDuff, CEO of Family Service.
Zainyeh was one of the General Assembly’s leading experts on health care delivery when he was a member of the General Assembly from Warwick. He also ran a close but unsuccessful campaign against Lincoln Chafee for Warwick mayor.
Zainyeh is known for his political smarts and knowledge of Rhode Island politics. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Zainyeh lives with his family in Jamestown.
Family Service provides a wide spectrum of social, medical and educational services to low-income families and children in RI and Connecticut.
