Doherty, Loughlin support Romney for president

January 4, 2012

Brendan Doherty and John Loughlin are running against each other for the Republican Party nomination for U.S. House in the 1st District. While they obviously do not agree on who should get the right to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. David Cicilline in November, they are in synch on the GOP presidential sweepstakes. Both Doherty and Loughlin support former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Loughlin told RIPR Tuesday that he backs Romney. Today Doherty issued a news release endorsing Romney. “Mitt Romney is a proven leader who will stand by his convictions while seeking consensus to find real solutions to the daunting challenges facing our nation,’’ said Doherty.
