Joy Fox’s big Indian adventure

January 27, 2012

Joy Fox, the amiable and hard-working deputy chief of staff for state Treasurer Gina Raimondo, is heading to northern India for the month of February as part of the Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange.

Fox is one of five Rhode Islanders taking part in the exchange, a professional and cultural opportunity for professionals and business people between 25 and 40. They’re representing Rotary District 7950, covering RI and southeastern Massachusetts.

The team will be led by Wendy Marcus, owner of Marcus Goer Interiors. Besides Fox, other team members include Yulia Yelle, a registered nurse at Morton Hospital; Paul J. Fox III, director of training from the Institute for the Study and Practice of Non-Violence; and Anna Haas, director of development for Shoulder to Shoulder, Inc.

Fox’s colleague, Dara Chadwick, will fill in for her during her trip.
