Romney’s coming to RI on Wednesday

April 9, 2012

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is slated to visit Rhode Island for a town hall meeting on small business at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick at 6:30 pm Wednesday. He’s due in Hartford earlier that day.

RI GOP chairman Mark Zaccaria says Romney’s visit is meant to raise the candidate’s visibility for Republicans before RI’s April 24 primary.

Former governor Don Carcieri has been a staunch Romney supporter, and the state’s GOP establishment, such as it is, has lined up behind the party’s frontrunner.

Rhode Island hasn’t backed a GOP presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan got the nod in 1984.

The unemployment rate in the USA is almost down to where it was when Obama took office in early 2009. We’re out of Iraq & bin Laden is dead.

All Romney knows how to do is run companies into the ground while making money for himself & his buddies.
