More GOP presidential hopefuls expected in RI

April 10, 2012

State Republican chairman Mark Zaccaria says GOP  presidential candidates other than the frontrunner appear headed to the Ocean State:

The first one due is Mitt Romney.  He will hold a campaign rally and Town Hall Meeting at the Crowne Plaza, in Warwick, Tomorrow at 6:00pm.  Everyone is invited.  In fact, your personal invitation can be had when you Click Here.  Please note the Telephone, E-Mail, and Text Message links on the PDF.

Next week could be a busy week for Republican Presidential Politics in these parts.  Although we are still awaiting confirmation, Ron Paul is scheduled to make an appearance at URI on Wednesday, April 18th.  There are also tentative plans with the Gingrich Camp to host a visit next week from both Newt and Calista, perhaps separately on two different days.  Ray McKay and Dave Talan, the RI Coordinators for Rick Santorum, remain hopeful that their candidate will also make a stop.

As soon as state party headquarters knows something, you’ll know something.

On Tuesday, April 24th, five states hold their Primaries.  They are DE, PA, NY, CT, and RI.  You will note that three of those five are contiguous, which makes them prime targets for a bus tour.  Things are fluid, but you can expect last minute developments.  For now, let’s turn out for Mitt Romney tomorrow and Ron Paul next week, while standing by for other candidate sightings around Little Rhody.

Not to nitpick – but in fact, all five of those states are contiguous!
